I have always wondered about the rework of "The Dance" especially the screaming part. Does anyone know the history of the song? When it was written and who it is about?
When news of Prince's second marriage breaking up hit I wondered if "The Dance" reworking and insane screams was Prince's way of dealing with the loss of the marriage. Maybe the first version was done when he and Mani got together. And the new version was his way of letting her go. | |

i think this is the best part of the song, the strings are piano are building up to some emotion i like the 3121 better than the original i think it has more feeling!
