If you use the expression 'something is always in your hair' it means it's irritating you.

A bit like 'under your skin' is another expression when a person does exactly that - get's under your skin - get's to your heart and soul etc..

This girl is irritating Prince. She is ALWAYS there.. probably following him around like a shadow and telling him how wonderful he is even when he isn't.

He is finding this irritating.

I like this song..

I always thought that song was about completely blind fidelity. The lyrics reference this girl still being devoted even if her man "was a gigolo," or even if he was "aimed in the wrong direction." The song reflects a combination of amazement and exasperation at this absolutely unconditional devotion. In some ways, I think it might be a jab at certain obsessed fans who were berserk over the idea of "Prince" without actually knowing him personally.
