Jemma Cooper - BBC Weather Presenter this morning on BBC Breakfast News (Points West Weather) the presenter Jemma Cooper was wearing a Prince Symbol Neckless on a long chain over her black clothes.
She delivered the entire forecast whilst promoting Prince's brand for him on a network that carries NO ADVERTISING!!!! Add to this promotion like the opening titles to the 2008 Kevin Spacey movie '21' where the SYMBOL was featured on the side of the RIO casino in vegas, again very clever. You have to agree; when the 'Love Symbol' first appeared years ago, none of us could have imagined how intelligent the entire plan was, as an example of brand strength and promotion we should encourage PRINCE to give marketing advice to some other large brands who would pay £millions to get thier brand on breakfast TV for free. I know we all find the Paisley Park methodology confusing/fustrating at times but as is so often said; there is genius within at 'the Park' and Prince may take his time but his buiness intelligence cannot be called into question, and his musical genius is un-beatable. Doesn't seem like she did it on purpose,
just wore it as any other piece of jewelry. Only a Prince fan would know what it means, I think. | |

I agree, the clever bit is that people promote the Prince brand 'not on purpose' i'm just saying that as a marketing excercise it has worked and was/is quite clever. but you're right it is just like any other jewelry like Channel, Tiffany etc. [Edited 7/2/08 0:20am] | |

So it's true what you said. Unless she was tryna get Prince's attention. | |

I wear my symbol chain every day and I appear on TV quite a lot. It's been in at least 2 music videos so far and a bunch of live appearances |

Most weather girls are, i'm thinking Lisa Gallagher who does my regional weather 'Look North'. I think she sometimes does the main BBC weather sometimes. she is one hot blonde. | |
