Prince yearbook quotes Did anyone quote Prince in there high school yearbook? My senior quote was from the song "Uptown;"
"Where I come from, we don't let society tell us how we're supposed to be; our clothes, our hair, we don't care, its all about bein' there." I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...

My sisters senior yearbook was divided with the students and popular music of the years seniors attended and there's a Prince section. The main picture is of course the purple rain era(because of the year she was a senior,1986),but there's others and song lyrics. I need to get ahold of her and look at that. I had forgotten about that. [Edited 6/29/08 19:47pm] follow the leader follow the leader

I graduated in 1985, so it was a popular thing 2 do.
My cousin used a series of quotes in hers that sounded like a suicide note... "I'm Going On 2 Another Life, HOW About U? The "Rain" Will Guide Me!... Bathe 4ever in the RAIN!... Thanx 2 all- See U in the DAWN..." Her best friend: "Can't U C It's All about Being Free. Victims of Society danglin on a string. Plastic People don't B swayed WALK W/me thru The Rain. CAN U Relate? thought not!... ooh PRINCE!" There were a few more, but these 2 were the "biggest offenders" in my graduating class. I wasn't a Prince fan then, so I thought when I read these. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I read this topic as "Quotes in Prince's yearbook." "Dear Prince, Stay sweet just the way you are...." I'd LOVE to see that!! I'm firmly planted in denial
