Has Prince done enough to secure a place in the pantheon of American Music? If the Grim Reaper came knocking on his door tomorrow, would Prince be remembered in posterity as one of the greats in popular music in the same breath as Jimi Hendrix or James Brown?
Has he done enough? Discuss. "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

I believe so...
Prince's music in my eyes is a Panoramic perspective of musical generosity and emotional content...and of course beautiful vocals. I do believe that Prince will offer more within his lifetime that will re-define His thorough delivery of himself through music, which is the essence of true talent. I can make this statement about talent, knowing that listeners continue to follow Prince's career. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I think he has but, I'm biased.
between all the hits, the volume of music he's created, the side projects, movies, legendary performances, respected musical talent,image/images,and lets not forget "the vault" of music that promises music after he's gone(they think TUPAC had a lot of recorded material) I would lean towards answering positvely on this matter just my 2 cents dont want to make anyone mad "a body like yours oughta be in jail..it was on the verge of being obscene"

Has he done enough? Discuss. Absolutely. If P didn't release another album from this point on, he, I believe, will definately be regarded as one of the greatest music artists of all time. To be honest with you, I believe P is ALREADY seen in that light. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

how much more does he have 2 do 2 not b considered that already? man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

of course he has BUT, I also believe he will be more appreciated when he's gone. His true genius is something that will be reflected on years from now, all the brilliance which people ignore, dismiss, or simply never even listen to will come to light in the future and people will go "this guy was a miracle".
