In the meantime, earthquakes and flood with destroy almost everything (Prince sang '3121' in 2006, during the BET Awards, and in the end of the song said these lines: "It's going down, people, like the system of things"). 31 could mean the last December (December has 31 days). 21 is just the day the world will change, which is Friday. Reverse 21 and you have 12; the year of the End of the Golden Age. With the Earth stopping and turning the other way, the magnetic poles will invert and our organism will awaken to a new conscience, in a scientific way I'm not able to explain. Don't you wanna come? But then i rememered Planeth earth: 50 years from now what will they say about us here? Did we care for the water and the fragile atmosphere? One minor detail... the Maya were obviously not aware of the ulitmate effect of Earth no longer rotating: the force of gravity will diminish to zero. So we will fall of the planet and float into the vacuum known as the universe. That sounds funny, but actually it is very lethal.
So any prediction about the 'next phase of life on Earth' based on stopping of rotation of Earth, unless it says all life will be gone, should not be taken serious. That doens't mean Prince can't express his own view on such an event of course  |

Oh? Why are days still 24 hours like they were back then? Or did they slow the clocks down to match the longer days? Did Bush this as well? (evil all the way?) Why would that happen with the poles? i saw a recent documenary about nostradamus. they claimed to find some of his 'undiscovered writings', and translated them to mean that the world as we know it would come to an end in 2012.
personally i think that the way the earth has gone crazy at the moment that we are heading towards something big. are we heading for end of days??? | |

Fact of the matter is Prince picked some numbers at random to rhyme with the original lyrics, which were actually born out of a fairly embarrassing situation. Flashing her a look like, "Don't you start with me, Esmeralda, you're not even supposed to be making eye contact with me," he instead sang the chorus that became 3121: "Don't be making fun, 'twas only one honeybun..."
