he's been playing mostly the same stuff for ages now, or at least
it sure feels like forever and a day.

what 3 songs would you go absolutely nuts for when included on a
new tour setlist and played regularly?

probably not the best choises but at least songs that we
haven't heard before (or in ages).

i like the way he updates songs for live sets so i would
be very interested to see how he changed them around.

and indeed, "something in the water" should be revisited too. the
laid back live version he did during the xenophobia celebration,
now that was one cool ass performance.

and as a closing song it would be could if he dusted off "gold"
again, even if it was just for a couple of times. it's a great
song to close a show with and he could let it rip on the guitar
like there'd be no tomorrow

i would like to hear gold in place of pr 4 awhile.

another thing is the constant sly or gcs covers.
i've pretty much come to terms with them since
he does chance them on occasion and spices them

but why not introduce the public to some other
classics by sly and gcs? they have many more
truly classic songs that prince could have an

with the electro stuff reworked to be organic(easy on the horns)
the organic stuff reworked to be electro(easy on the synths)
the "mainstream rock" sounding stuff made funky
the traditional sounding slow jams made creepy, dark, and funky

I think there's a lot of great songs that just wouldn't work well live. There's some songs I'd like to see get arranged differently, I'm not a big fan of greatest hits shows, which is one reason why I haven't been interested in seeing Prince live in recent years.

To pull in the crowds, he has to play the hits, but throwing in some more obscure stuff, rather than all the covers he does lately, would go a good way to balancing a show out.

I'd like to hear things like Crazy You or Still Waiting, Do U Lie or Vicki Waiting again.

YES!!! He totally needs a new set list.


It would be intense if he played Electric Chair, Automatic ( ) and Sweet Baby.
