Prince the author I read a news article that said something like "Prince the musician, composer, producer, actor, director... and you can now add to that: Author!"
Or something like that. But I heard the new book is basically a photo book. Can you really be an "author" by putting out a photo book? I know Prince can write prose if he wanted to. I remember he wrote a long article for an Internet magazine a few years ago. (Right?) So he should REALLY become an author and write a Stephen King style novel. What do ya'll think? | |

Prince likes to make a quick buck.Writing a book takes too much time and thats maybe why we've never had an official auto-biography. IMHO. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

He said in an interview way back, 1981 or something, that he'd like to write books! I'm sure he could easily, if he had the patience - but would any of us understand it??! Apparently, the 21 Nights book has poetry written by him.... we'll have to wait and see, I hope so, can't wait to read it! | |

Poetry and song lyrics are beautiful artforms unto themselves.
But writing a book of poetry is not writing a book. IMHO. | |

 A fiction short story or novella is more likely and would be cool...I can see it being a fantasy piece and symbolic morality tale.
He did write several essays that were posted on npgmc.com years ago..subjects included the state of the record industry, drum machines, etc..wish I saved those pieces! 
Maybe someone has a link somewhere??? He has natural writing ability and his thought process is above average.  | |
