i've always found this to be the weakest track on my fave album, sign o the times . the lyrics are great and the music is very pretty. it really is an awesome song. the only thing that bothers me about the studio version of the song is the drumming which paces the song far too slow, so it comes off almost boring on an otherwise fairly uptempo (drum machine based) album and sticks out like a sore thumb. the cross almost suffers from this problem, but not as much. perhaps had he gotten sheila or even bobby z. to play on the track, it might have fared better . would'a been a better b-side, imo. live however, this song freakin' rocks (all songs sound better live, i know ). especially the sign o the times movie version. brings out the song's potential even more. any thoughts?

I Love, "Slow Love," and I realize it's a big no no, to not have seen "Sign 'O' the Times...but I never had the right cable, to see the movie...I saw about ten minutes of the movie...at a friends house one day...but it was her father, flipping through the channels....I didn't have the nerve to say..."Stop, right there...and please let me lounge an hour or so."
