The main riff to "Controversy" is easy, but it doesn't really have any chords. I tune a full step down (in D instead of E), but it starts on an open 5th string and to the 2nd and 3rd fret and then the 5th fret....then go back to open 5th string and 2nd and 3rd frets again. the higher part at the end of the riff is on the 4th string go from 7th fret to 5th.

Not if you have short fingers. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Not if you have short fingers. Guitar (the song) is pretty easy to play. It's a funk chord pull-off in 8th notes. Finger the 2nd string in the 7th fret and the 1st string on the 9th...then strum that chord 8 times...on the 9th time, pull your finger off the 1st string and play both 1st and 2nd strings in the 7th fret for another 8 strums, then drop that same fingering (holding the 1st and 2nd strings at the same time) to the 5th fret for another 16 strums....that's it! It's easier to learn if you practice while the song is playing (that's how I learned it). I haven't figured out the verse of the song, yet.

Actually, it's E and Asus2. You're right - a fact which makes it even easier to play!
