I saw a NUDE show in Japan back in 1990. It was a tight, little show, with less frills than he had with the SOTTs and the Lovesexy tours. From what I recall it was short, like 90 minutes long, and was the last tour to feature Dr. Fink. The tour band also had the early version of the Game Boyz.

Some of the songs were The Future, Kiss, Purple Raid, 1999, Nothing Compares to U, Raspberry Beret, Bambi, etc.

The first Prince tour that didn't make me go 'wow'.

He also played: Batdance, Question of U, Take Me With U, Baby I'm A Star,

I went to 3 shows - the band were a real let down after the Revolution and SOTT/Lovesexy bands, although Rosie was a cool addition and her rendition of Ain't No Way was lovely.

Otherwise, like any P tour it was worth seeing, but a disappointment compared to what had come before.

It had a great opening medley of The Future/1999/Housequake/Sexy Dancer, all running on that computer beat of The Future. Brilliant.

The Baby I'm A Star jam was always great too.

Had tickets for the cancelled Maine Road show..it would have been my first Prince show

I must admit that I even liked the Game Boys on this tour.
Except maybe them sanwiching Prince. That was tres gay.

But like I said; still one of the hottest tour openers. That Dat Intro was HAWT! The first four songs rocking on on the same beat was HAWT! Prince licking his microphone stand during the extended part of The Question Of U. The beat of that same song in your tummy. The extended Baby I'm A Star was HAWT.
It was a fun tour, even though it seemed rather cold to the bone after all those luscious tours.
And to hear Michael Bland pound them drums for the first time. HAWT.

Well i never had the pleasure of attending, but from the shows ive heard it was a mixed bag of a show. Some awesome versions of some tracks - some tight grooves, but also very short shows, and a complete lack of horns, stripped back arrangements. This is nice in some instances:

Nothing Compares 2 U was amazing and the definite highlight of the tour. Obviously performed off the back of Sinead Oconnors success, it was the best version he's ever done of it as it was closest to her interpretation, and void of all the ad libs he throws in now. I've got a version from a bootleg of a Wembley show, and its quite simply magical. He sings the ass off it. Every interpretation of the song since has got progressively worse, more overblown and lacking in emotion. It was performed as part of a medley with Do Me Baby, and Rosie singin Aint No Way - both of which were also fucking unbelievable.

I really liked the opening medley, and his version of Purple Rain on this tour were also pretty amazing particularly if he added a middle verse of Live 4 Love. The biggest letdowns were the closing numbers. Baby Im A Star, Partyman, not exactly songs that send the crowd home on a buzz Id imagine.
