[sigh...] Why did I click on this thread?

Well, I'm not going to argue about anything. I'm just going to post some pictures of my family to show how different people can be. My family could be the UN. If I had pics of everyone, I'd post them. My mother's parents were both identified themselves as black, although one of them (i think it was her mother) had one parent who was white. So, when my mother's mother had children, they came out in different shades, which I think is amazing. My mother is the lightest of her siblings, with the exception of one of her sisters, who looks more Asian than black or white. My mother was married to a black man at one point, and had my brother, who is dark skinned. Then, later on, she married my father, who is white. [I've smudged faces, for safety reasons]

I hate it when people argue over whether or not someone is mixed. It's not a big deal, and frankly, no one's business. Regardless of what color someone is, everyone is beautiful, light or dark.

To answer nurse's question, I never thought of Prince being racially mixed. In fact, when I read about him having Italian in his background, I was a bit surprised.

I believe I thought he was african american when I bought my first album (Purple Rain) in the late 90s, but I remember reading somewhere that he had mixed heritage and I immediately believed that (which is very easy to do), but after some time I discovered that it was a myth.
