Actually before Jesse put the album out Prince already had Shockadelica in the can for the release of Camille in late 86. He told Jesse with an album title with a great name like that, it should have a great song on it of the same name, meaning Prince was probably offering the song to Jesse. However, Jesse turned it down so Prince showed him what he lost out on and had the song on an acetate and played by the Electrifying Mojo if I remember right before Jesse's album dropped making him looked as if he copied Prince.
