Whats your favourite part of the under the cherry moon film? Mine is when prince turns up at the party and everything goes quiet and all the girls are like hey whos that guy and then it cuts to prince with one of the cheesiest looks in cinematic history. the bats scene
the crossfade (for lack of correct term) of the ending & the "Mountains" video WRECKA STOW!!! when Mary is lying in the bed about to call Christopher and she pushed play on her lil boombox to release "I Wonder U" how the lady/party goer chimes in "and didn't even bother to show up... ha quel scandale!!!" (that was soooo fierce LOL) how he sings along to "Life Can Be So Nice" and when he sees Mary approaching he straightens up & tries to act all cool "well if you'd loosen up yo shasity belt maybe you could breathe a lil mo betta!" there's so many lil subtle moments (that's the best thing about this movie, besides the music) because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." | |

There is a totally insignificant moment that mesmerized me: seeing Prince eating bread [when he and his friend are in their hotel room]. He even spreads on it something that looks like cheese.
Being as slim as he is, I was somehow certain he had a carb-free diet and therefore didn't touch bread. I couldn't help thinking 'is he making an exception for the film?' Totally insignificant, I admit. | |
