Okay, well now it's all out there so I can finally reveal the truth.
PRINCE IS A COW The evidence has been there all along. He has provided subtle hints through his music and other actions but it has all escaped the limited comprehension of the human animals. Here are the obvious clues that all of you missed: 1) Prince did not feel comfortable about revealing his true nature until around 1982, The purple leather overcoat from the "1999" era was an attempt for him to reconcile the two two worlds, the human that everyone thought he was and the cow he truly was. He almost came out in 1984 with "I Would Die 4 U". "I'm not a woman, I'm not a man"...well of course not, he was a cow. But he just couldn't say so yet. 2) In 1986, Prince wanted to make a quaint cinematic love story about a cow and a spoiled heiress who find love in France. He wanted to call it "Under the Dairy Moo". Of course, Warner Brothers did not want Prince to do this because in their estimation a cow/heiress love story set in France in some indeterminate time period shot in black and white (aka cow colors) would not sell tickets. If he shot it in color, though, they would reconsider. At the last minute Prince changed the whole concept but kept the black and white motiff just to piss WB off. 3) Prince sublimated his bovinity until 1991, when the hinges almost came off the barn door. He recorded "Cream", his last number one ironically enough. He also recorded "Horny Pony" as a b-side which was actually a diss record against horses, cows' natural enemies. 4) The name change thing was the closest Prince actually came to revealing his cowness. Prince told WB that he wanted to reveal his true self to the world but of course, thinking only of the bottom line, they said they his either had to keep up his human persona or they would not promote his music. Prince thought of how to get back at them and ultimately decided to change his name to a symbol. Many thought it to be made-up unpronounceable symbol but it was actually an ancient Gaelic symbol that translated to "One Cow to Rule Them All" 5) Prince reclaimed his human name in 2000 and has not really come close to breaking the secret since. Certainly the vegan lifestyle has been one sure giveaway and he briefly thought of naming his 2004 comeback "Moosicowlogy" but once again, he could not take the leap. It is disappointing that Prince will not embrace the cow that he truly is but I still will support him. It is a judgmental and cruel world and I know that many humans would not understand.
