It's a sweet song and a very fitting closer to the album.

This is the little ditty with the doves chirping in the background???
Nice. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Its kinda nice, but my favourite 'Prince' instrumental by far still is '8' from the Madhouse album.

another thing i like about it so much is the title "arboretum"
i wonder how he came to name that song. it's a strange title, when compared to his usual songtitles. it gives the songs one more extra layer, beyond the sounds themselves. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

An arboretum can be both indoors and outside - trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants are cultivated for scientific and educational or aesthetic purposes. In Minnesota's cold clmate, most likely there would be some indoor plants included for all or part of the year... along with the outdoor display
