Not sure, a new one is needed 4 sure but there R a few...

"Slave 2 The Rhythm" - Liz Jones... although this may B seemed 2 B more of an elaborate journal more tha na biography

"Imp Of The Perverse" - Barney Hoskyns

"Prince - A Documentary" - Per Nilsen.. gives more of an emphasis 2ward tour dates, dates of staring and completion of projects between the "For You" and the "prince
"period

"Inside The Purple Reign" - ?

"Controversy" - ?? although this seems 2 B more emphasising 2wards the Gold Experience and thereasons behind the name change, it does have an elaborate discography of out-takes, demos that may exist, alternate takes and contributed works.

or "A Guide 2 the Works of Prince CD-ROM" - DreZone (Shameless plug), this is an automated version of Prince a documentary with supporting video footage for each era between "For You" and "Come".

'dre
Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

Thanks a lot to both of you!
"Days of Wild" seems to be the best option for me. It´s only available from the internet, right?

I don't know about Days of Wild. Most people on this site feel that "DMSR - The First Decade" is the best bio and it can be had for about a fifth of the price of Days of Wild.

You can find this book in most Barnes and Noble stores.

Who wrote this one, and can I find it in Denmark (no B&N stores, sorry)?

Is it as new as Days of Wild??

i would avoid liz jones' slave 2 the rhythm. she doesn't even seem to like prince. why would someone dedicate themselves to write on someone they seem to have no respect for?
she has an angle against him that she tries to push in the book. plus all the reviews of his albums come from other published sources, although she doesn't acknowledge them. she incorpoarates them into her text as if they were her original ideas.
per nilson's book, on the other hand, is absolutely essential.
