I'd just like to know if somebody was there to see this show live, where beautiful songs such as 'Come', 'Strays of the world' and 'What's my name' were performed for the first time ever.

I was there at Glam Slam LA but Prince did not perform the songs. Carmen and her dances danced to the songs as each song was introduced. It was very different. I went just to hear all the new songs

The quality of the audio is the crappiest of the whole bunch in circulation

I was there. I was about sixteen at the time, but there was one Sunday matinee show for all ages. It was fun, definitely the best part was hearing all those new songs and actually getting to see the club for the first time.

Amazing how nobody managed to sneak decent recording equipment in to tape the damn thing properly

I was there. Weirdest thing I had seen in a long time. Carmen was on the floor next to me then ran on stage at some point. That was the night one of my best friends told me he was gay...which I already knew! Strange night at the Glam Slam!
