PRINCE is one of the greatest live perfromers of all time BUT..

prince has amazing presence and is a genious onstage. the omly problem that i have is that he will jam way to long on one song. for instance, he will sing the first verse of 17days and then go on a 15minute instrumental. i just wish he would sing the entire versions more often than not. i would rather hear 5 more of his songs then 6 cover songs in a row. how do u fans feel about this?

I prefer to hear him jamming.

I've never seen him live, but I would love to see one of his after parties.

I imagine that the effect of his improv would be diminished if you were sitting in the affordabe seats in the back of a big arena show.. in that situation I would prefer 3 or 4 hits.

I love to hear the jamming. It's like he recreates the old songs again and again. He has a real gift for blending one song into another, old with the new, it's far more creative than just performing a repeat of the recording. It's like mixing, but without the vinyls

You never know what your getting with Prince at a live gig - I think thats part ofthe attraction.

It's all personal opinion mate, it wouldn't do for us all to like the same angel
so, what is the answer 2 the question of U

I've been going to Prince's concerts since 1984 and I thing they're great, the only think that bugs me is how many times he leaves the stage to make wardrobe changes between songs. I nver know when he's coming back, he just disappears! lol

i love the marathon guitar jams. i do wish he'd cut down on the cover versions, though. for someone who dislikes having his own songs covered, he sure knows how to take liberties with other artists' songs. he has an enormous catalog of his own music and he only scratches the surface of it anymore.

I went to the Hit & Run tour and it was all hits and they played about 2 minutes of every song. It totally sucked! All rushed and junk.

I like the jams! I like the 5 minute guitar solos cool

I thought his songs were covered all the time... like all the time

(I think madonna has issues though...a friend of mine wanted to use her music for a dance performance and apparently it isn't allowed on the usual license)

I think it's best to have a mix of both. Too much jamming could become tiresome after a while, just as playing all the songs as they are on the albums would be too.
