you ain't lyin'! don't forget cat's ass and eric "mr. baby doll house" leeds . my fave prince band, by far. the trojan horse aftershow (small club, whichever one),driving 2 midnight mess (how i long for a complete and/or video version of the camden palace show ), the new year's eve show with miles davis, the club u4 vienna show (with the ball and that jam),etc.,etc. are all fucking brilliant! if only i wasn't a baby at the time . For all time I am with you, you are with me.

I agree with you guys....this was truly Prince's best band! I saw the Lovesexy Tour on November 11,1988 and it was the most amazing concert I ever experienced.

I agree too. As much as I loved Wendy and Lisa musically - the characters in SOTT and LOVESEXY were so much more flamboyant, making for much better live shows!

A show I just couldn't make it 2. I really got a messed up deal here, in this fandom palace. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

The only live prince videos I've seen are SOTT band and the ONA band....guess which one is better..... Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

At 1st I thought the original New Power Generation was his best lineup, straight clean & funky. But SOTT/Lovesexy were clearly his best band ever!

For years I've said this is Prince's best band musically and creatively. Why else would he have chose them for his most prolific time ever.
Prince-Genius Sheila E.-One of Prince's top three drummers(Mike Bland, John Blackwell) Dr. Fink-Surgery on the keyboards(Yes, better than Renato IMHO) Levi Seacer-Best bass player Miko Weaver-One of the two best guitar player(Mike Scott is great too) Boni Boyer-Paved the way for Rosie Gaines for powerful background vocals Eric Leeds-Mr. Madhouse Atlanta Bliss-Mr. Madhouse's partner in crime. Prince just musically outgrew the Revolution. The Revolution was a true, funky 80's synth, new wave band, but as Prince began to expand creatively, he had to get players that were on the level in which his music was heading. I saw Lovesexy back in 1988 and it was a musical and visual masterpiece to behold. I just wish that he would have had the SOTT tour in America, because that would have made the album more legend than it already is. __________________________________________________
