Holy crap. I checked some of the snippets. I nearly shat brix. Quite a few of the songs on there are VERY good. Others not so much.

If I can get over the image of Falco and Nena singing all of these songs, I think I would put a bunch into my regular rotation.

Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another

with ALL of that music, they should make all the tracks available to purchase via download. it would get the music flowing a lot easier for an international audience, and if folks downloaded a few tracks and loved what they heard, they might be more prone to drop the bucks on the whole package. i'm glad this comp is getting such good response, though...it's very rare to hear of a prince tribute collection that people actually enjoy!

The Question of U sounds awesome woot!
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

Thanks a lot...
The reason why we can't sell singletracks as download, is because I don't own more than some of the masters, but I'm sure most of the tracks will end up on iTunes eventually...but it's up to the artists themselves.
But from a record-collector's point of view, it's funnier to have the whole boxset, and it's basically meant for the Norwegian audience, the most extreme fans and Prince himself. We just sent it to him a week ago...I really thinks he's gonna love a couple of the tracks.
So cool that you enjoyed the music...

i ordered a copy today. with the huge amount of content on this collection, i think i would have had a great time picking and choosing from an iTunes-esque download retail selection...but i caved! i'm hoping against hope that these reviews are accurate and we finally have the first ever KICK ASS prince tribute compilation. pray

I might just oreder it for the bizarre and unique factor, I may not like every track there or know what is being said- if all the tracks are in english, then nevermind my statement- but I like the effort made by all.
