i've been a prince fan, since 1984. i actually got the 1999 album as a present,christmas of 1983. i became a fan of his as soon as i first heard when doves cry, to this day, nothing tops the brillance of that track. i consider myself to be an objective fan of his. i will always feel that his most creative period was from 1980 to 1988. prince was the trend setter and influenced alot of other people that were around him. around 1989, he decided to follow other trends such as rap and hip-hop. i feel his best works in the 90's were the symbol album, the gold experience, and emancipation. the rainbow children was his last real supreme effort since the 90's period. i think him becoming a jw ruined his recording career. i miss those days when he would curse in one song and talk about god in another song. prince used to mix the sex and god themes to the fullest extent. it seems that he lost that total edge with the sex angle because of his religion. i just feel that i had to vent about all of this. i've been a fan of this site for 8 years now. a shout out TO THE BOYS AND GIRLS OF THE NEW BOOGIE GROOVE....BOBBY

i just feel that prince will continue to be one of the best live perfromers' ever but his new music will never live up 2 his past works.
