i have a prince related tatt.
it's the guitar that is on the rave cd but i changed it up and personalised it abit

i should have just infringed copyright law and gone for the simple and very recognisable symbol though

I'm going to get a small symbol tattoo on my left inner wrist.
Thinking of getting it done when i'm in New York in november(souviner aswell LOL),so can anyone recommend a tatooist in NY(Manhattan)?

Here's the original outline to my Prince tattoo...it looks much better than this because it's got purple to magenta fading and the star has orange in some of it's points:



I can't get a good shot of the real tat because it's on my left shoulder blade. I put the Symbol leaning on the star because 'estelle' is my middle name and it means 'star' in latin and my first name is 'claire' which translates into 'clear, bright, shining', so the star has bright orange in some points and just no color in the others to represent being clear. It goes with my star wrist tattoo:



The Chinese characters translate into 'bright star'. The symbol for me represents change and reinvention besides just being some squiggle that Prince decided to take on as his new persona. I see it no different than I see the symbolism in the burning Phoenix, but that's just me. My next tattoo is going to be elephants and flowers.
