Here I was thinkin he was the host of the show and it was about someone else Anyway, the show ended and the commercials happen and then the next movie starts. So the big WB comes on the screen and the very first musical note I heard and literally in one second I said:
Oh My god! Is this Purple Rain and sure enough, it was Purple Rain! OMG! I am a fam!  The thing about it though is that first note is not even part of the song Let's Go Crazy. It's sort of the very end of like a warming up note or band tune up. That is pretty hardcore I haven't seen that movie in at least 5 years but I've seen it so many times that I was able to name that tune in one note!

True story, I can hear Prince songs on my co-worker's radio in the first three notes, clear on the other side of the office no matter how low the volume. I always buzz her and say "that's Prince, turn it up". For the life of her she can't figure out how I do it. and it doesn't happen with any other music when the volume is that low.He's. In. Your. O.K.--not only am I a semi-FAM, but I'm a Prince SNOB at that: this past weekend, one of my neighbors was playing music at his Memorial Day cookout. He was playing the music in groups--back to back songs of different artists. Well, when he started playing Prince--which went on for about an hour--it was all the usual released stuff that you'd hear on the radio. I SO wanted to go down there and say, in my best snob accent (think Mrs. Drysdale from the Beverly Hillbillies), "My deah, don't you have ANY Prince past 1992? Let me loan you my CDs, you uninitiated ignorant puh-son!"
