Early 90s

Although many don't like his "typhoon"...I have to say that Prince was sportin silk, lace, and an attitude that I miss.

Not to mention that is the ride I was on... biggrin

The most exciting time would have to be from 1999 to Sign o' The Times. Just the amount of music produced and put out to the public, made it a very exciting time to be a Prince fan.

Oh, my friend, you are right, but I would say from 1999 to Lovesexy.

Vivir así es morir de amor.

If i had to pick any ten year span, mine would be similar: 85-95 ATWIAD to TGE. Everything he touched was magic. Something now seems forced.

1980 - 1988
Look at the albums released through those years. The unreleased stuff, the tours.
I'd say this period was not only Prince's best, but if not for the stiupidity of those non-Prince fans, would be considered the best period of music by any musician.

I appreciate some things from every "era" or "vintage" and also dislike some things from each. All in, though, I guess I let my avatar do the talking wink

PS Ive been off and on as a "casual" listener/observer of his since about the time Purple Rain came out, so maybe I'm just a little biased...

It was all great up until the name change, but it has all had some good in it, but I wish we could live again in the time when he gave a party every week at PP so I could move up there and attend them.
I wish I could live the years over again from 1986 until the present time.
