The controversy era was something else. Definetly my favorite era (80-83). It was pure crazy.
He was (is!) the f_cking man. There was this special brand of insanity he had the very early eighties. [Edited 5/26/08 19:31pm] | |

I was blessed that I was actually able to see Prince 3 times live before Purple Rain even had come out. I saw him 4 times on the Purple Rain tour alone. [Edited 5/26/08 19:31pm] The 80-83 era really was something else, but Controversy definitely gets lost and overlooked in between Dirty Mind and 1999. The album is sooooo underrated it's ridiculous. The tour, a huge step up from the Dirty Mind shows, gets overshadowed by the 1999 tour. I wish more people would appreciate it. | |
