It's not a great movie.

Hell, it's not a good movie.

But if you're a Prince fan, it's a great item to add to your collection. It has entertaining moments, cringe worthy moments, and eye rolling moments. Also, the overall look and feel of the movie makes it strangely fun.


I applaud Prince for not just attempting to make 'Purple Rain pt2'when filmimg this movie. Graffiti Bridge would come along a few years later and just...well, make me want to vomit. Under The Cherry Moon s a very light-hearted affair not taking itself as seriously as other two movies, resulting in an effort not as good as PR, but far far better than GB.

I agree. Not great, but a whole lotta fun if you're a prince fan!!

Its a really fun movie. Thats the best way I could describe it.
Go ahead and get it, most fans enjoy it.

Yes, get it, if you like Prince, you won't be sorry.

If you're the kind of person who likes to watch good-bad movies to laugh AT them, not WITH them - UTCM will give you many, many years of pleasure.

i think he tries to act more. not enough of his music for my liking. but worth a watch. the black & white looks good too. suits him.

I loved this movie!! He's so funny!

Okay so its a bit cheesy ....but its good cheese and Prince is funny in it, buy it and have a good laugh whether its at the actualy comedy and Prince's humor in the movie...or just a laugh at the acting and the story line

If you can grab it for under 15 bucks or so, it's definitely worth a few watches, as long as you have a bottle of wine with it.

i love this film!!!

its wierd and hes sooo camp, but the stories entertaining, its all a bit of fun. Its filmed quite nicely and i like the black and white.

The humour is great especially his interaction with jerome, they are so funny together.

nothing like PR completely separate from that.

go on go get it and have fun! its worth it for the eye ballin scene!!

I like it a lot because it reminds me of when I was young girl. It's also pretty to look at.

Buy it and drink a bottle of wine or get high and this movie is very good! LOL! I never did it but a bottle of wine and the movie sounds about great right now... or may-be I could just look in the mirror and make facial expressions at myself...

It's Prince in his goofy mood. Prince in tight outfits...mmmmm. I give it a 5 booties rating.

I just saw it for the first time two days ago! I never knew it exsisted until I was browsing netflix for Purple Rain and Prince movies and I saw it! By the Way, if you have NETFLIX, then the movie PLAYS INSTANTLY on your PC, not waiting for it in the mail or anything.

He is so damn sexy!!!!!1

I actually think it deserved an award for cinematography and costume. It's so beautifully done!
