Not surprising as he's lived in his own little world for so many years and despite his age has not had a great deal of real life experience - it's difficult to talk with any wisdom without the relevant experience. P lives in a world of his own design where he doesnt' have to deal with anything he doesn't like - unfortunately it is dealilng with difficulties on a daily basis which makes you grow. It's for this reason that his lyrics when about anything other than love/sex are embarassing. Don't get me wrong - I don't think P is unintelligent, but there's little he could tell me about the world I live in. I believe Prince is very intelligent. He has relevant life experiences and is wise too. We all have to deal with things we don't like. This includes Prince. I am sure he has a lot of life experiences from his childhood up to the present. He went from being a shy performer to a more confident performer. It takes personal gowth to achieve that. He has relevant life experiences, therefore he can talk with wisdom. I am also sure Prince has been through things we don't know about. We all can lrean from each other. I would to heard some of Prince's ideas and life experiences. Prince has overcome many obstacles in his life. People don't achieve the things he has without gowth and experiences. Prince is a very hard worker. [Edited 5/30/08 22:23pm] | |

While Prince may not currently deal with some of the issues others do, I would imagine he's very savvy about "life" based on his profession and the industry he works in. (living in Los Angeles ain't no joke!) Prince has travelled internationally frequently for years, which in itself provides a expanded view and/or understanding of the "real world." You cannot have a rational discussion with someone who has surrounded himself with "Yes Men" for decades. His lyrics on anything related to issues of politics or religion are either ridiculously specific & reveal what a wackjob he is, overly general & reveal how bland & unschooled he is, or completely naive to reality. | |
