Prince & his beliefs

Real talk-If Prince really tried to talk to you about his beliefs-maybe in a large forum or even one on one lol would you seriously listen and take it all in? I mean even if you didn't agree with them-would you be respectful or tell him where to get off? I think I would genuinely listen and try to learn something from it sun maybe I would actually go away with a different perspective on things hmmm What cha think?

i would know going into it that he couldn't change my mind, but i would be interested to hear him witness just to know what it is that ostensibly makes him tick. i think when i finished listening to him, my only question would be, "okay, prince...so what is it you to do live up to the principles you're trying to sell me on?"

I am curious in peoples religious believes and ideas about spirituality, so i might listen to him.

But the moment he would try to 'preach' to me, and say i should follow his believes, otherwise i would be lost, i would leave him.

And you know...it's HARD to find info on Jehovah's Witnesses...their sites tend to be vague and bland and other sites are centralized on attacking them. I really can't get a straight answer on what a JW IS.

I know-I think that since he is so famous he could actually give people more insight on it-they would listen, may not agree, but they would listen.

I would listen to him, because I am interested to hear what HE believes, not what WE think he believes.

I was in the Dr.'s office a little after Christmas and someone had placed Watchtowers in the magazine rack. The one in front said, "Can we really trust the Bible?" so I picked it up and started reading it. reading A woman began to chat me up about it...(she had been the one who slipped them in the racks) By the time the doctor called her in, our discussion had gotten heated. My final words to her were, "I am an educator. I am always interested in learning something new. I seek KNOWLEDGE not CONVERSION. Thank you." confused

My point is, I would offer Prince the same respect- the chance to drop some knowledge on me, nothing more. nod I'm not interested in converting, but I'd let him tell me from his perspective why I should. Then I'd tell him why I'm not interested. If he can't respect that, then we will have a problem, no matter WHO he is.

Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

Interesting. I was once a JW, but I don't like "restrictions" placed on my life when it comes to "my beliefs" and for me, being a JW in my opinion only, just had too many restrictions that would have prevented me from being me, and I have to be me in all sense of the term.

I don't mean restrictions in the sense of not following societal laws, so to speak, but being a JW made me feel like my beliefs and who I am feel "imprisoned".

I would respect anyone's choice of their religion even if I don't agree with them. I would be willing to listen, maybe learn a few things, compare, ask questions, disagree and exchange opinions for the sake of the conversation, but that's about it. I do believe in God, but for me personally, I just don't like my life dictated by some organized religion, it's bad enough I don't trust people too much lol, but I believe God exists and I'm more spiritual than religious.

I'd love to hear about his beliefs though I think he likes discussion about his religion. I don't know that I would care to just listen to him talk about it at length w/out being able to ask things to better help understand the whole picture. I think it would help avoid any misunderstandings or misconcieved notions of where he's coming from.
