Appreciation for Da Bang?

Right now i am listening to this song from The Crystal Ball set, and its quite a quirky little gem, i think.

Loose 'bluesy' verses, mixed with energetic 'rocking' instrumental breaks. Those breaks are probably the most 'alternative rock' thing Prince has ever done on record, i think.

The combination works great, i love the effect on his vocals and I totally dig the 'Hit me Niggers' que!

Anyone else loves this 'forgotten song'?

This song has a lot of cool dramatic tension. "Girlfriend calls me lame, game is over, yesterday." Who was he referring to (Anna Fantastic)? He was kind of acknowledging the end of his hipness while at the same time blowing away all comers (Lenny Kravitz- don't make me laugh!)

Sorry, I was confusing Da Bang with What's My Name - both great songs from the same family.

One of my favorite tracks off of C.B. Awesome drumming and the short guitar solo is killer. I also like the effects on P's voice. Anyone know what era that song was recorded (95, 96?)
