Lisa Barber - UTCM contest winner I know many of you remember her. Well it looks like she is selling real estate in Wyoming these days. Check it out.

If there was ever a harbinger that UTCM would be a failure it had to be that Lisa Barber of Sheridan, Wyoming won that contest and Prince had to premier his new movie in a tiny Holiday Inn with a bunch of ranch hands. Wonder if Lisa still listens to Prince? Actually, I remember reading a short interview with her after the fact where she admitted she was really a Motley Crue fan more than a Prince fan.  the music knows what your motives are when you are making it

i remember hearing that the winner was from sheridan and immediatley my eyes went like this where the fuck is that at? lol

funny you should mention this - I was just thinking bout that homely girl and that complete cluster F just recently.
Yes Prince did ask for her pearls when she was being intereviewed b MTV and than snuck off - the performance was kinda cool - but the rest of it -  The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

I remember at the premier party MTV had Jerome interview a few people from Sheridan and it was just so uncomfortable and bad. You could tell he didn't know what to say and by the end of the bit he wanted to just get out of there. The live performance by the expanded Revolution was awesome but all else was an embarrassment. the music knows what your motives are when you are making it

I remember there were pics in the People Magazine that showed the 2 of them on a farm walking. He kissed her hand and everything.
