This song grabbed me the moment I heard it and never let go. I LOVE they wit of the lyrics, the beat and P's vocal delivery. It's just a hot song. I still listen to it often.
The video was very different, very Prince, e.g. sexy! It was also nice to see some darker skinned sistas in a P video. I think that was around the time that Rosie said she told him about not having darker skinned women in his videos. Nevertheless, the song is classic! perfection is a fallacy of the imagination... | |

The song and video epitomize the wonderful complexities of the Prince universe.
The song is about sex first and foremost to the point of near obsession, and yet it also has a very tender, protective theme to it. It's Prince at the height of his confidence and audaciousness. I actually thought it meant that Violet had such a huge "thing" that he reached the organs inside the woman ...LOL!!! Anyway, the rest I said, about Prince being the most complete man I've ever seen, probably is the nicest compliment I've ever given to a man...and I really mean it.
