"Party" lyrics - too much?

I was thinking about how many Prince songs talk about “party” this & “party” that…
It started to seem like a lot. Too much? I guess what bothers me is that a lot of the “party” lyrics seems a bit silly & awkward.

Song titles:
Partyup
Party Man
Life O’ the Party

And then of course, the lyrics:
-party like it’s 1999 / parties weren’t meant to last
-ain’t no party like a Newpower Party
- throw your hands in the air – this is a motherfuckin party
-that’s where the party be – 3121
-if U know how 2 party, say oh yeah (housequake)
-more?

Is it too much? sad

Define "party"...Are Jehova's Witnesses allowed to "party"? He doesn't drink or smoke. Maybe dancing is considered "partying"? Is playing music partying? Hmmm... confused

Answered my own question.
party: a social gathering, as of invited guests at a private home, for conversation, refreshments, entertainment, etc.: a cocktail party.

I usually associate party with drinking, playing music loud, dancing, getting crazy sexually, etc. As in "he parties too much". Or "oh, yeah, she definitley likes to party". I wonder what Prince considers partying?

Not at all.

I love the mood that emanates from every party song he has done. He's such a honey-bunch! heart

Yeah, the party theme gets a bit tired after a while. Too much of anything is bad.

considering he has released hundreds, maybe thousands of songs, i think he is allowed 7 or 8 songs that mention parties.

When U conisder how many songs he's written without the word 'party' - no, is the answer.
