Did Prince ever perform The Beautiful Ones live? It's a shame if he never did. I think that's the best song he's ever recorded.

I love the way the audience sang the first part of the song on the musicology concert.

I also saw him sing it many times at the 02. one of my fave songs.

My Sweetie and I danced in the stands to it during a Musicology show in Minneapolis. It was wonderful.

Yep I heard him do a live acoustic version in the medley section at the 02 and it was totally jawdropping like the other posters on this thread have said. It was the moment in the concert (like 20 minutes in or something) when I suddenly realised 'oh my god that's actually Prince just there' it was incredible!

Also it's on the One Night Alone Live CD...

I don't know if I've heard TBO's live, but I agree that it is tops!

The concert you are talking about is "Prince and the Revolution Live" I have the VHS tape as well still after all these years(back in 84 I do beleive on the PR tour) and yes he does perform "The Beautiful Ones" on it.

Ummmm....duh! It was on the Pr tour, got the damn non-bootlegged VHS copy of the 1985 tour (no U can't have it)

But performance was good but not as good as the movie performance, though. Trust my opinion in yo mind.
