Someone asked why more serious/longtime Orgers don't post on the more-substantive threads when they surface. It's because posters such as the ones Protege just described make any consistent dialogue really difficult.

So, I typically stay out of the Prince forum. And, I'm a music geek who could talk about Linn drum programming, Warwick bass licks and other stuff for hours. In a word, the Prince forum has gotten a bit cartoony.

PM&M has little to do with the forum title. However I agree that newbies need their fix but some threads are really very silly, people want to have fun and maybe cant think of good enough discussions. I wish the old orgers who watch but dont join in would post some stuff even if its been discussed way back its good to have views from newbies etc theres no harm in re-discussing topics.

i find that sometimes i post a question and i get an overwhelming response of shut up its been done already by some folks who think they know everything and perhaps they do but doesnt mean i shouldnt ask the question and as ive said before in P&R i dont want to trawl thru tons of old posts to get my answer when theres a whole world of orgers ready and willing to answer me straight away. So they may think im a newbie just cos i asked a question they already covered, i dont think im young enough really to be a newbie lol and havent just got into princes music but to some orgers on here i guess they see me as a newbie.

I find it refreshing to answer queries of newbies and in fact have discussion with them as some are young and literally just 'discovoured' princes music, its encouraging that the youth find it as gripping and exciting as we did.

So daft threads or no, the org needs a good mix of banal and serious to cater for all sorts. i do wish there could be atad more discussion tho!
