This, "777" book, says the book has been reprinted several times in recent years. All of the new editions improved on the first one, which is rare nowadays and most expensive, by the inclusion of many short essays and commentaries written at various times of Crowley, and added skillfully by the editor after Crowley's demise in 1947.

This goes way beyond 777...And I can't read Hebrew either...It's way over my head. There's a meaning for every combination of numbers...I find it exhausting.

I think watches are making a very bad statement when performing on a stage. Can you imagine him having a peep at his watch between two songs? It would be like he's thinking "Ok, another 40 minutes to go." Even though we know he adores performing, it's still the impression it would give.

They may well be plenty of artists/musicians these days who do wear a watch when performing, but I think traditionally, artistic performances on a stage and watches don't go together. Have you ever seen a ballerina performing Swan Lake or even a more contemporary dance wearing a watch?

And imo, this goes too for all the art photos and artwork Prince has been in. A watch would throw a bucket of cold reality on all these creative, dream-like poses and clothes. The pic Dayclear posted is therefore quite unique I think.

In everyday life though, I think he has his eye on the clock 24/7. I've read somewhere that his daily sked is regulated down to the second. I doubt he could have achieved so much if it wasn't.
Btw, there is a photo of him sitting between the twins at some fashion show I think, where his hand is reaching for his watch.

He's probably developed his own philosophical concept of Time, but that's another, more personal story!..

I work at a legal non-profit and I notice fewer and fewer professionals wearing watches also. I have a friend who insists that they are a fashion statement so he continues to wear on although he says he rarely bothers to look at it.
