prince actually creates the music he sings over unlike that clown actually doesnt mj think of all the tunes...uses his rather great beat boxing skills to lay down the tracks and then works up from there. id have to say dangerous for me...d and p is ok, though neither are true classics, dangerous has 'give in to me' on it, which is one of the ultimate mj songs...so intense its shocking. Wouldn't you love to love me?

D&P has dated horribly compared to Dangerous. You could still play songs like In The Closet, Jam and Remember The Time in a club today and it sounds fresh. The same cannot be said for much on D&P, Daddy Poop? Jughead? Willing & Able? Even Gett Off sounds dated, with it's bad rapping and cow-bells.
And there is nothing on D&P that holds a candle to Who Is It.

If you actually read the liner notes from dangerous MJ wrote or co wrote almost all the songs on that album. That said I think i'd choose d&p simply for strollin. I love that song!

Dangerous is the more solid album for sure - despite its excesses. D&P is a good prince album that ahs some classics (Cream, MDM2N), some decent jams (Gett Off, Thunder, Daddy Pop), and a couple of harmless ditties (Diamonds & Pearls, Strollin, Walk Dont Walk)....
Dangerous on the other hand is tour de force Jacko....another big comeback album....massive hits of varying styles, and some great production work from Teddy. As someone said it still sounds fresh today. HOWEVER It took Jacko 4 years to make this. FOUR YEARS. The only fair comparison is if u take the best songs off D&P, Graffiti Bridge, Batman, Lovesexy, The Black Album, and his contributions to Shelia E, Mavis Staples, The Time, Martika, and then hold that up against Dangerous.....no comparison.

I've heard people say that MJ plays piano and drums, but won't in public. I don't know how true that is...but if you listen to the demo versions of Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, Billie Jean, Shake Your Body Down, etc., you will hear Michael and his brothers playing the instruments. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

In retrospect, D&P is probably Prince's first "meh" album for its very conservative approach to production and by-the-number's arrangements. It forshadowed alot of what came afterwards. After Batman and Grafitti Bridge?! I don't like it much but at least it worked as an album an was something of a return to form after the previous two which were really quite poor. In answer to the question - I don't listen to either. The only MJ album I listen to is Off The Wall and the only P album from the nineties that gets a spin is The Truth.
