Just Got The Rainbow Children CD... As well as The Black Album
Aside from the wierd voice overs, I really like this CD. My favorite picks so far: Mellow: This has GOT to be the sexiest song I've heard in a long azz time! I don't know which is more of an "instant panty remover"...that song or somthing by Luther. Last December: Simply beautiful! Muse to the Pharoah: Another one that'll be in heavy rotation. I like Digital Gardern, but that little break in there kinda messes up the groove. Glad to see Prince back on the scene. I just wish they'd play some of it on the radio. The finger pointing at the moon is not the moon...dammit!

And the crazy thing is, songs that you skip over now, will be your favorites later on. That song grows on you like no other album will. The more I listen, the more I bobb my head
My current favorite is (because they change)... The Sensual Everafter (that song has extreme beauty) Blue Times...times Blue

I've decided I'm gonna call some of the radio stations and request that they play "mellow". There's no reason that song should not be getting airplay. The finger pointing at the moon is not the moon...dammit!

Word! there's indeed no reason that song should be concealed from the masses any longer. "While U bring yourself 2 joy". Priceless! . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

That's a very good idea! I think I'll call a few radio stations and request a TRC song. Rainbow children is naff, pretentious, embarrassing and quite a bit depressing. ------------------------------

The Sensual Everafter (that song has extreme beauty) I have to agree with you on that one. It's so beautiful, I play it at least three times everytime I play the cd. I just sit in amazement at how talented Prince is even when he just sitting and playing instruments without accompanying lyrics, just pure music. There are so many songs and albums where Prince displays his genius and this album and this song "The Sensual Everafter", are just two examples. You made a great choice Jade, it's a magnificent CD, every song is a winner. Listen and enjoy.

You know, at the end of the day, after all the bullshit that people say about the lyrics etc. This is just a GREAT album. End Of Story.
To all those of you who dislike it. I disagree totally with you're taste and wonder how you can be so foolish as to dismiss his best work in other 10 years -----------------------------------------

Im just sayin Gold was the last solid vintage-like Prince release.. I know. I just don't get what some of the fans hear in it. To expand on my point; if you listen to most of the hardcores here they'll tell you that Gold was his best album of the 90s.
