i'd host a lotta really noisy parties 2 the point even prince couldn't cope with the nuisance.
he'd have 2 pop round in person 2 tell me 2 shut da fuck up.

You can also buy some Girl Scout cookies and make a tray to bring over...hell, anybody would open the door for some of those great Girl Scout cookies Good thinking. Or perhaps a nice muffin basket would score you some invites. Shake it til ya make it

Yet i'm so close but so so far -- i'll never make it to the club on a monday night, never get invited to the exclusive parties at the mansion, and can never get that vip ticket. i'm a federal public defender - no celeb status for me!! just had to vent hahaha
You should make the most out of the situation instead of griping about it. Take a positive attitude and put your best foot forward and find out how many times he uses the rest room for us gals in P:M&M. We'd be ever eternally grateful. . [Edited 5/12/08 17:32pm]

ha! so the general consensus is that (1) I shouldn't complain and (2) I should just try somehow to get into a party --- Well; I'm not really complaining about life or my circumstances, it is just a little frustrating, as a Prince fan, to happen to be so close to the guy (by pure chance i promise) but no possible way to be in this mix! And it aint as simple as "networking" or going to the right club - i'd be all over that. And no, no jumpin fences or walkin up to doors - people look at you funny if you roll down your window in this area! well, i thought for sure some folks who lived in Chanhassen would empathize -- i always thought "damn their lucky" but I see maybe it was worse! -- excepet at least in Paisly park he'd have free or at least open concerts so the public at large could attend!!!! Plus it was his studio, not just his home -- for me, living by his house means I can't really "drive by" since that'd be a little "fanatical" and in L.A. you have to know the right people to get the invite. Such is life. Ice-T is close-by also, maybe he'll be easier to reach!!

good response, i agree with you, living that close to him doesn't actually mean you can just walk up to his house. you don't want to come off as a freak anyways....maybe one day you'll run into him at a local resturant, or cafe'? if you live in the same neighborhood, it's possible!

i know what it's like to live next to someone famous, and not know how to actually meet them, i lived next to a rock star for years, and it wasn't until i ran into him at a starbuck's in the neighborhood that i actually was invited to a x-mas party at his house. be patient, fate happens.

Play ding-dong-ditch. Ring the doorbell and run and hide behind a bush or something. It could work. [Edited 5/15/08 13:59pm]
