With his recent religious conversion he's done many strange things. Although Prince has always been a mystery heno longer cussing cause he considers it cursing God. ANd is he really into sex anymore.? I know he still does it but he doesn't seem to sing about it anymore. On The Musicology Tour her just says Dance Music Ugh Romance. Then the part about sleeping on the couch when he samg it "I wanna go down south(fastly gesutring no).....too Houston Texas" when he was in Houston and other southern cities. Wendy and Lisa say we've lost him. If the wild,mysterious,contraversialness has gone then we truely have.

why does his religious conversion seem to be the blame for everything? A lot of people make the comment on the org and blame Larry for it when Prince is a grown man and can do as he pleases. Prince did things in the past that people thought were strange like wearing assless pants. I agree with Tame. He has always been a spiritual person. When people convert to JW, everyone automatically assumes it's like satanism or something. I think it made him a better person, settled him down a bit.

If Larry is the blame for Princes change, then I guess I am too. I have been praying for his life to be more Christ like since 198? something. It is a natural progression. Everyone should have seen it coming since he had been looking for the truth. The more you seek God, the more He reveals Himself to you. If you are seeking Him for His purpose in your life....guess what, your life will reflect that. I say, BRAVO PRINCE! Keep searching and it will all be straightened out. God is positive and that is what Prince's music has become, more worthy of the God he is serving. Those spiritually aware, you think about it, would you be positively nasty if you were aware that God and His angels were standing not near by but RIGHT next to you in your face while you disrespect yourself and Him with vulgarity? By the way he answered the question himself in an interview with Tavis Smiley in 2004. He said it begged the question 'Why do you want me to curse?' and that it probably said more about the other person than him. Oh, and he also said it was cool to curse back in the day, when no-one else was doing it, but now that everyone does it, it's just not cool anymore

That wasn't at all my point when I said that Prince had regressed.
There is a difference between enjoying sex in a private setting and boasting about it openly in a immature and vulgar way.
I'd like to think of Prince as a mature enlightened human being and not a horny teenager who has the need to brag about his sexual skills. In my opinion the song was just a very poor choice for a man of Prince's caliber.

I wonder, would this issue be much of an issue if Prince himself didn't annouce that he was giving up cussing & singing certain songs? I think we would have noticed but he made it a big deal, so he is to blame for making all of this known and us talking about it often. If there was anytime where I wish Prince wouldn't have spoken about a certain topic, it would have to be that one. He opens himself up for looking like a hypocrite if he ever decides to do Sexy MF again. But then again, being a hypocrite has never stopped Prince before, why would it now?

As for God, please, he's been singing about that since Controversy and if anyone has a problem with that then why are you a fan? For real, it was and will always be part of the package with Prince, regardless as to what religious doctrine he's following. I has become a bigger part of the music but the funk is still there. The energy is still there and he's still as exciting now as he ever was IMHO. Prince will always be Prince.
