That happened to me this morning. I woke up, and the Prince song, "Leaving for New York" was playing inside my head. Which is funny, because I haven't listened to that song in the past few weeks. Maybe I was listening to it in my dreams or something. Now I'm sitting here singing the song. Which Prince songs have you had playing in your head when you wake up in the morning?

Yesterday I kept humming, "Moonbeam Levels". I was sitting at my desk later on, and I couldn't shake that song!

I think so...but what is kind of strange is that I wake to the radio...and my alarm is set a different times...So often, the radio comes on with Prince playing, or Sheila, or the Time...to the point that I think this place is buggy.

Oddly enough, it happened yesterday as I arose with Still Waiting streaming through my head. When the opportunity presented itself, the song stayed on repeat for about an hour or so on my playlist!

for like 6 days now, i wake up and literally ALL day im singing thieves in the temple both in my head and out loud... not a problem tho... i love that song

But it doesn't happen all that much anymore.
A lot of that was going on last year when I was still getting in2 Prince and his music occupied my mind a lot of the time.

One thing, I woke up with "Shh" in my head, followed by TMBGITW and "Dolphin"... so I picked up TGE (which I'd been struggling with)... and I enjoyed it that time the most that I had up to that point

Oh dude that's everyday of my life. Even if I don't hear the words, I can hear the tune in the back of my mind. It's like listening to his music has installed a little virus inside my mind to do so. Usually when my boyfriend sleeps over, I can hear Venus de Milo playing in my head softly. I dunno...just...something so peaceful about the way he sleeps. I don't watch him do it, but when I go to bed, I can't avoid him....

I woke to Shoo-Bed-Ooh the other day and couldnt get it outta my head

one time i had joy in repetition stuck in my head and i kept singing it... everyone thought i was just stupid and didnt know the rest of the lyrics in the song

Yes, Creep's in there a lot, and I'm not sure how... I've only listened to it 3/4 times at the most but I CANNOT get 'Turn me Loose' out of my head!!

But the twist on it was, that I was actually dreaming that I was with Prince at Paisley Park, just chillin', sitting on a couch while he and some of his people were just milling around doing different stuff. The most significant part of that experience was that when I woke up, I had this whole different opinion of Prince. As if he had shared some secrets with me in my dream. I've seen Prince in a different light ever since.
