Prince, that was a terrible performance on the Tonight Show last week!

That was the worst Prince performance I've ever seen on the Tonight Show last week!

Anybody else agree?

I hope the London aftershow CD is going to be better than this performance.
Has anybody heard the london after show CD?

It wasnt his worst.

That was "the one" on that Sinbad Show when he was on there with Mayte - Larry - Larry's Wife.

That was just off.

This last one was his worst in awhile, I do blame some of this on Jay having 3 guests, why did he have that douche bag with a beard and cowboy hat.

The Sinbad one was great! At least the first medley number... it was incredible.

It certainly wasn't his best, no. Song and performance-wise.

That Sinbad show, IIRC, was kinda funky, I enjoyed it.

Oh and by the way, if you were in Jay Leno's band and the guests would include Hugh Laurie (of the hit-show House) and Prince as a musical guest, what would you play during the commercials?

Housequake?

Would have been nice, but they did:

House in order

Quite funny of Jay's 'house' band.

lol

No; there was a guy in the crowd recording it onto a C90 cassette.

Yes, it is hard when your earning 4.8 million for a 1 1/2 hour performance and you receive critical raves from people who really do not know much about you.
It is so hard on old washed-up Prince. eek

I agree, it was the worst PRince performance I saw on the tonight show last week. Come to think of it, wasn't it the only Prince performance on the tonight show last week? So it was therefore also the best Prince performance I saw on the tonight show last week. biggrin

Haven't heard the CD but I saw him at 7 of the Indigo shows and I'm sure it'll be good stuff. My only disapointment is that it sounds like another cobbled together selection. I want complete concerts. He should just stick all the aftershows up for download, charge us $15 a pop and be done with it.
RIP sad

They played that when Prince played on the tonight show several years back. I was at the taping and thought it was a fun choice but it must be something in their bag o' tricks.

Terrible performance? WTF? It was short, but far from terrible. Would you rather he did yoga moves and lip-synced, like Madonna, Janet or Britney would've done?
