i've edited my original post to show my pick of 50 tracks, which is in no way definitive, and i did it from memory. i originally went through the albums at home and reach 50 tracks by the time i got to the start of the 90s, even though i was only picking a few from each album, and then i ended up at over 100 tracks and couldn't figure out how to cut them down, so i redid it from memory, ended up with too many again so i took out some tracks, mostly well known hits
