Glam Slam '91

Now, this is REALLY haunting me.

I read the lyrics of this song and learnt it was something like an early version of 'Gett off'. I think I never heard this track, though, or the inclusion of its lyrics in the extended version of 'Gett Off' is to be considered the only fact that 'Glam Slam '91' exists?

Please, reveal the truth!

Thanx heart

It was recorded Oct.1990.

Broadcast on WLOL radio station in Minneapolis on January 6, 1991, this song contains a sample from "Love Machine" and Duke Ellington horn arrangements. Most of the lyrics ended up on "Gett Off" from Diamonds And Pearls, while the chorus is borrowed from "Glam Slam" off Lovesexy.

It's much more playful than the harder sound of 'Gett Off' - pretty corny actually, almost like 'Jive Bunny'. The basic tracks are from 'Love Machine', Prince's vocals are falsetto at points, quite different than 'Gett Off', and also spoken, closer to said song.

the funniest thing about this song was how he said something like "I'm the north star, and you're the big dipper" which sounded extremely gay. He wisely changed it for Gett Off.
