What's he got against White girls, he's always putting them down. confused

absolutely nothing.. he was about to marry one, her name is Kim Bassinger..

I think P just makes funny comments / observations about all races. I was a bit taken aback when he did that Tavis Smiley interview in 1998, he said black people always smile and say 'Prince!', but people of a 'lighter persuasion' just kinda stare and don't know what to say. It could be taken as a put down, but I think he's the least likely person to be racist - honestly!

Btw - Susannah was white too, remember?!

Only 'cos it sounded a bit like a put down to the 'lighter persuasion' people at first lol but, yes, it was just an observation like you say nod

I think its very obvious that the 'Dolores' in this song = WB.

The same goes for 'Illusion, Coma, Pimp and circumstance' from Musicology. The female subject in that song is his old record company.

A side remark: nothing wrong with Prince dissing / being critical about his former record company. But IMO he could have been a bit more tastefull and respectfull when it comes to comparing that company to overweight / obese women.

Unfortunately Prince TOO often shows a lack of respect and common sense, when he is singing about things he is critical about of that make him feel pissed off.

I sometimes wonder: what happened to the guy who was so selfreflective and humble on the Sign of the Times album?

Since then i have noticed him making shortminded, sometimes downright nasty remarks about women who arent as 'thin' as a model, about white women, about unemployed people, often in a very annoying, shortminded and superficial way.

When it comes to his more 'deeper' lyrics, those of 'Family Name' are really toecurling and annoying. The comparison between black slaves and jewish people on that song is just an example of really bad taste. Not, that he is anti-semitic on that song, but the comparison he makes is really inapropriate, definitely not intelligent.

The reports about him slamming Wendy and Lisa because of their sexuality (being lesbians), are even more frustating. If i would have been there at that meeting i would slapped him or at least severely talked him down because of that kind of ignorant remarks.

In essence, the main issue is that Prince is showing himself as some smallminded, brainwashed prick.
A sad creature thinking that JW-doctrine is helping him further in life. A rather shortminded person, losing himself in dogmatic bullshit.
My thoughts: you might be a genious musician potentially, Prince, but as a person you suck real hard. Most people (including myself) are much further then you in life, they are giving you the 'benefit of the doubt', but you sure aren't no leader, prophet or guru.
