There are a few very good quality audience recordings. The Prince/Josh/Cora boot is probably the best. Chaos and Disorder is a bonus track on this boot which was a soundboard recording that was put up on 3121.com

there's a hybrid recording floating around which is quality, I'm not bothered about a soundboard, it's as good as nearly, audience reaction would be a bit lost on a soundboard i reckon.

Only thing is mine doesn't end with guitar, but another version of C&D! confused

It's one of the best things Prince has ever done IMO. Certainly my newest fave bootleg.

HELP!!! It's starting to consume my life!!! Or at least talk about it's awesomeness with me!!!

There are so many great things about this particular show...

-The guitar work (Duh!)

-The fact that he only had a bass player & drummer backing him up

-Playing songs that he either hadn't played in years, or had NEVER played live

I need to discuss this with someone, 'cause I may never stop listening to it!!!

I think it would totally work if he went on tour with just a bassist, a drummer, & maybe a keyboard player!!!

I can totally sympathise! I've been listening to 6th September for months and months now, I can't live without it, I was there, and every time I hear it I'm back there... must go and have another listen to 28 August too.... shhh biggrin

16th Sept is the one I keep going back to, as well as Partyup from 13th. I went to 5 and 4 of those 5 have amazing sound quality.

I was listening to 28th Aug yesterday and the guitar at the end of Johnny B Good blew me away. There are only a few I wasn't there for that I can listen to just because of sheer jealousy though. Controversy on 9th Sept is another of my favs.

28th was a musically brilliant show, once you hear the first few notes being played, you knew P was going to let rip, it was even obvious at the mainshow that night that he was in rare form. I am still disgusted that i didnt get to that aftershow, but alas some bad bad people have enabled us to enjoy wink

my personal fav is still the 16th, that was simply like being in P´s sitting room, with him being master of ceremonies entertaining his guests, even the cocked-eyed ones cool
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

i like it there has been played alot more than you think, on the 7th aug aftershow, the 28th aug aftershow, a few times in vegas...

I'm not completely uptodate on the vegas stuff, but was told he did an instrumental version of the song in Vegas and only did the vocals to the song as of recent (i.e. London).

Just as a review, here are a few samples of what people were saying about this show right the next day here on the org:

-livetolove-OMG, the aftershow tonight, the aftershow tonight. *shakes head* I cannot begin to tell you... He. ROCKED.
-blacksweat-I don't want to see any more aftershows, just so I don't lose any memories of last night. The 14th was superb, but last night was in a different league and my fav aftershow of all time. It was like witnessing The Undertaker video (but better) live.
-aliuk1-I never thought I'd hear Elephants and Flowers live, it was fantastic. And the super rocky version of anotherloverholeinyohead - all I can say is WOW!
-Spcms-Those were one of the most exciting 90 minutes I've ever witnessed, words can't describe, so i'll go with Hot Dammnnnnn!!!!!
-chopingard-After tonight I don't care that I missed the Lovesexy or Gold aftershows this was one of his top 10 aftershows ever (and I've got boots of almost all of them).
-Drezone-This was a show definitely for the fans, he went for the stripped down sound that rock trios would die to get in terms of musical body weight.
-Nikkibo-I've been to aftershows for 20 years now. But this last night I will never forget. Anotherlover BLEW ME AWAY...
-stereoboy-I feel almost guilty for being lucky enough to have been there and knowing so many fans around the world would have killed to have been there.
-onecrush-Been to all shows and afters and the aftershow on 28th was far and away the best.
-1p1p1i3-Much love must go to Cora and Josh. Cora in particular really impressed me with over an hour of stunning thump work! They allowed Prince to shine.
-Theenglishgent-On the way out I said to the missus that I don't need to go and see Prince again. Over the years I've now seen everything I could have hoped for and tonight was the pinacle of it all.
-darlingomo-Apart from the sloppy drunk assholes, that was one of the single most best experiences in my life. We witnessed history. Did anyone take note of the records that were played in the Indigo before Prince? Some great stuff.
-ewald-For me it was the best aftershow since Paradiso Amsterdam. I'm 36 years old and 6 feet tall, but cried like a pregnant woman.
-incognito-When Prince hit the cords to "Sexuality," yes, "Sexuality" my mouth dropped open in surprise and shock. It took 25 years for me to FINALLY hear Prince perform "Sexuality" live and it was worth it.
-iain-Bit weird, as I'll put my hand up and say I didn't know most of the songs, but still one of the best gigs I've ever seen - where you're literally there watching, consciously thinking "Oh.My.God. This is one of the best live performances I've ever seen."
-chopingard-Chaos and Disorder is the first time the full song has been played. I like it there was played twice before once in Vegas and once on the 7th at the Indigo (instrumental).
-Whistler-on the 28th aftershow I had tears from sheer happiness of bein there when he went into C&D and I like it there.
-Yanio-but this was like nothing I have ever seen before, even beyond Hendrix. The control, use of tone, sheer enthusiasm and imagination he applied to the instrument was like nothing I have ever experienced.
-Hearlon-It was hands down the best gig I've ever seen. Cora blew me away. I'm a die hard Michael B fan but she came as close to being the perfect drummer as he is. After my wedding, it was best night of my life.

People were famming out!!! lol
