He was just a kid back then! He didn't know what he was doing! He wasn't at his creative peak! He still had to grow musically! Ahem, it's my fave too...

Around the world in a day Its lyrics are so full of hope and anger and love. Among the best lyrics he ever wrote. And Wendy & Lisa did a fabulous work on the record. My favorite track is 'The ladder' and when he came to Italy in 2002, ya know what? He played it! I keep these moments in my heart, locked deep down, only for me to enjoy. Love

Right now it's 1999. It switches between that, Purple Rain and Parade. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Yo, bitchez, my pimp-ass will do better than just give you my #1 favorite. Here's a list of what I consider to be my top 5 purple albums ( for the moment):
1. Purple Rain - Probably the only album wherein I love every single song. The only fuckin' one. 2. 1999 - Prince at his nastiest & creatively funky. Aye-yoo-tee-omatic, Something In The Water & Lady Cab Driver, this trio 'o' songs by itself has more inspirational creativity, energy & rich cohesiveness for my ear than most entire albums by any other artist. 3. Around The World In A Day - When ATWIAD ( pronounced aht-wee-add) was first released, while I liked it, it didn't really knock me aback with a wow as much as it's 3 predessor albums. However, as time passed, this album just keep growing on me. I don't if it had a maturity that was beyond me at the time to which I finally caught up with, or if it just that the album itself matures like a fine wine, but what I do know is that these days, more often than not, I tend to react to it's radiant sounding beauty with an awe as if I had just heard for the first time. 4. Controversy - I just can't believe all the things people say. 5. Sign O' The Times - I tried once to listen this while taking a bath with my pants on, but then the CD player acccidently fell into the tub, & I almost died. I think that's why, despite my marveled reaction at it's stitched brilliance, this album isn't ranked even higher on my list.
