Great publicity. Everyone is talking about this song. He knows the business. I think he'll let momentum grow a little longer before taking it away. At least I hope so! Creep probably stayed cuz it's not his song..... In that case we should also be able to hear Come Together since that is a Beatles cover.

A lot of the videos I saw had Come Together & 7 in the same video. So that could be a reason. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

I highly doubt he'll release a DVD, given his track record. If the show sucked, it would likely get a DVD release. So far, there's been no Musicology tour DVD, no Vegas DVD, no DVD of the 02 shows, and not even an official US DVD release of Sign O' the Times. The last 2 concerts we've gotten on DVD were the Aladin disc and Rave--both of which were sub-1par by comparison of what he could have released. That's part of what's so frustrating about Prince. He's sitting on a goldmine of releases that fans would buy up if he's only release it, and what he does give us are half-assed releases. [Edited 4/28/08 20:10pm] "I Was FINE Back in the Day!"

people who would never listen to prince are writing blogs with crazy superlatives and can you see it? can you fuck Exactly. There was a time when everything was not as available as toilet paper - people had to wait for things and believe it or not there were some things that you never heard or saw! You just heard about them. This didn't do any of the great rock and roll stars any harm - and I have a sneeking suspicion that P knows this. Sure, it's frustrating but it doesn't make any of us less interested - quite the opposite. [Edited 4/29/08 3:21am]

If, as you say, "the nets on fuckin fire regarding that cover of creep", isn't it obvious that it's being seen somewhere other than live at the festival?
And believe me. It won't be the first or last time Prince does himself a major disservice, but he's still going strong, so apparently he is doing something right. And as frustrating and exasperating as Prince can be, would you rather be an MJ fan waiting 10 years for an album that's gonna sound like something Justin Timberlake and Timbaland could do in six months? Yeah, think about that. (voice of Peter Griffin)

One ONA he says "how long yall been waiting?" the entire audience says "TOO LONG".
When are you guys gonna figure out that Prince has been in his business a long time and he knows what he's doing. as long as he has bounced back from all the wierd things he's done.before some of you were even born. You don't have to understand what he does, but if it works for him....let it go.

berniejobs said: How do you all KNOW that he is doing himself a disservice with his internet interactions?
I am sure his actions are well-calculated and probably will benefit him in some way in the future. When he releases a live DVD maybe more people will purchase it because they can't get it for free online. Or maybe he's taking a risk. Gambling on the fact that his actions may or may not help him. If it turns out he is right, then he wins. If he's wrong, then in the future he can just letitgo and everyone will forget all about it. But you have no idea what his intentions are. I think it is funny he is doing it. All you new-school kids are so spoiled, getting everything for free, that you can't stand it when it's taken away. Before the internet aquiring Prince material and videos was just the same as it is now with him "interfering with the internet". What would really be great would be if all cell phones magically stopped working and people were forced to go without those wretched inventions. Now THAT would be funny. Parents complain that their kids can't have cell phones in school in case of an emergency.... Mother Fukkaz what did they do in 1972 in schools during emergencies. They dealt with shit. I agree with you said this in the Trent thread!! everyone cries when they are stopped doing what they like. Everythings handed on a plate these days. This genreation has signs everywhere telling them how to walk, talk, behave. For gods sake people listen to the man himself - dont walk they way they want you to walk, talk the way they want you to talk - walk your own way! How soon people forget their parents fights - the netpolice cant fight everyone if they all stand together! get my drift? WEBsherrif may be the LONG arm of the law but they aint got that long an arm - yet, if people keep postin - they will be occupied for a VERY long time tracking it all down. Just keep lookin, ask and ye shall receive - oh and on another Prince type note - if you really love something - set it free!!!!! say no more! Psss anyone still interested of course you can still see prince and hear him at coachella. Ive watched it today and this eve again. walk with crooked shoes www.myspace/syblepurplelishous

Dr funkenberry stated that this would make a fine dvd (in his coachella review) - the first time thats been mentioned I think for a long time and I guess hes now Princes official spokesperson as he seems to get all the insider knowledge and does the reviews plus quotes Prince. So I think maybe we're wrong this time and a dvd may be in the offing! walk with crooked shoes www.myspace/syblepurplelishous

Lets hope 'Dr Funkenberry'(sorry that name does make me chuckle ) is in the know(seems so) and we get a DVD with decent production(not like the Vegas one)
