What's the Indigo like as a venue? I never bothered going to the aftershows (I don't stay up till 3am for anyone) but am thinking of seeing Chaka Khan at the venue.
I was just wondering what it's like inside? Is it all standing or is there seating anywhere? Is it a comfortable venue? I sometimes get very over-heated and claustrophobic in small venues, especially if they're too packed. Is it comfortable or not???

The seats are very comfortable, and you get a good view of the stage. Standing can get a bit crampt as the space isn't too big. It is a good small venue though.

Sorry but I really hate this venue. The configuration of the first floor is awful.
From the ground floor you have a pretty good view of the stage from anywhere really but there is just something I don't like about the whole venue. Their staff is shit as well. [Edited 5/23/08 6:09am]

Indigo2 is a fantastic modern venue, great service with friendly bar staff, and nice loos! I get claustrophic too, but felt very comfortable there. You'll be impressed I'm sure! And, yes you really did miss out on the aftershows I'm afraid

I think the sound in the Indigo is one of the best I've ever heard for such a venue.
Oh, and the toilets are amazing

Can stand just about anywhere downstairs (incl. the bar) and see everything fine.
If you go upstairs, the seating can be vertigo inducing! "Had to get off the boat so I could walk on water..."

I went to see P many time's at the Indigo. It was a real pain standing for hours before he came on until he left, I'm surprised I didn't pass out from standing for so long. I was always near the front of the stage at the start but gradually I found myself getting further back due to people gradually making their way to the front. It was areal pain sometimes, espcially gettting home at 6am. that aside I would do it again, I would only stand for hours for prince coz he's worth it. I am going to see chaka but I am sitting upstairs. Indigo is a nice place it makes a change from the big concert venues.

PRINCE is the only reason I would stay up all night for!! Nothing like witnessing history in the making.. Didn't mind the standing - up close and personal of course, cuz I knew we were in for a GOOOOOD time...always take ur 'Party With Prince All Night Pack' - minty tictacs, flipflops, fan, deo spray, good hand cream for all the Soul Clappin'.....love...

It's brilliant!!!!
I went to 4 aftershows, then went back there for Maceo and George Clinton. The sound is excellent, a venue is a great shape and the stage is easy to view, plenty of bars so no major queues, and luxury toilets! I really hope that Prince chooses it as the venue to promote his 21 nights book release later in the year!!!!! Life's a Parade! LoveLife, LoveSexy!

I had to take some flipflops to one of the 3121 Vegas shows, my feet were killing me, standing way too long! Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul

I love this venue!! you missed out on the aftershows the 02 arena had shit sound the indigo has fab sound. If youre claustrophobic dont rush in and opt for the back behind the sound booth, you still get a great view and loads of room to dance. Plus the floor at the back is granit, a bit slippery so wear the right footwear havin said that their health and saftey is manic with staff rushing around wiping up spillages and pickin up drunken falloverers!! lol i found the staff brilliant there one dodgy barman but then theres one in every place! The staff were fun and enjoying being there, plus efficient with coats and we made friends with the bouncers. Ive been there several times now and plan to go back for Jongleurs later this year as well. It is standing for gigs and some people like to crowd the stage obviously at the Prince shows some people were manic about that but if you just chill near the back you can access loos, bar and have 'air' to breathe too. Its easy for parking etcetc and no im not on commission for them!! walk with crooked shoes www.myspace/syblepurplelishous

Downstairs great. Balcony, avoid all but the centre seats. There is a crack, a crack in everything - that's how the light gets in.

Prince obviously can't sleep since he like's to appear on stage after 2am. I don't think he realises some people have to get up for work the next day.
