He did 1999?! I should have been there!! I thought he retired that song? Or maybe he's been doing it and I just haven't been paying attention?
On the other hand...what's up with the covers? It's not as if he doesn't have enough of his own songs to perform! Serge..thanks for the pics! P.S. at some of the negative vibes earlier in this thread! "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. in the original song of creep, the chrous isn't screamed ..so y does prince have 2 scream? man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

That is pretty hilarious, the thought of Prince singing "I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo..." actually...he didnt say "creep" or "weirdo" at all and of course when the part "your so fuckin special" came on he said somethin like "youre all very special"

A lot of other stuff is going that you could spend your time worrying about. Gee Prince is not using enough profanity not really a world changing issue.

Everybody is going to love it or hate it or fall somewhere in between.
I loved it, I liked the lyric change because with that, he made it a little bit his own while not detracting from the fact that he's paying some form of homage to Yorke & Co. That's what's great about covers, you can do what you like with them without causing too much damage (unless you really eff it up, which Prince is not likely to do...) I sooo wish I could've been there live, but for now the tube will have to do until the Sheriff breaks up the party and sends us all back to our cubicles. From what I've been able to see, 5 of 5 stars. A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon

You're right..that is Ledisi. She performed with him on the Jay Leno show the night before too. I was pleasantly surprised to see Ledisi in Prince's new lineup of musicians. "A united state of mind will never be divided

I agree about the Bonnie Raitt cover - I wasn't feeling that AT ALL. And I thought I would be offended by the change of lyrics for Creep, because I love the song and the lyrics. But after listening to it, he just made it completely his own and IMO it worked very well. Prince probably could not have sung the lyrics straight up and have it come across as very earnest - not with his image. Even though I would have liked to have heard him call himself a creep!
